
What is Monster Lockdown?
The first game mode in Masters of Mayhem is Monster Lockdown, where monsters meet social deduction and a dash of adventure!
The adventure begins
As the match begins, each player is secretly assigned a role, Innocent or Impostor. Only Impostors know who the other Impostors are.
- Innocent: your goal is to complete a series of tasks and root out Impostors. Completing tasks will take you closer and closer to victory, keeping a VERY hungry monster at bay.
- Impostor: you need to sabotage the Innocents by any means necessary! Feign incompetence on tasks, commit murder, lie, frame others, hide bodies - stop at nothing to win! Wreaking enough havoc will trigger the release of a Monster. Just make sure it catches the Innocents first!

Win conditions
Innocent: Complete all tasks, vote all Impostors out, or outlive Impostors by other means.
Impostor: Kill all Innocents, outlive them, or have them vote each other out!
Tasks
This ain’t no ordinary grunt work, oh no no no! We’ve cooked up a good variety of tasks which differ from map to map
Example Frozen Frontier Tasks
Crystal repair: Use a hi-tech laser to repair damaged crystals, the more accurate you are the better.
Crystal analysis: Mine weird and wonderful crystals and bring the indicated ones to the analysis machine. Be careful though, crystals have unique powers when thrown!
Jumping puzzle: Hop around on a floor puzzle to correctly connect the pipes so that the crystal juice can flow once more!Example Temple of the Devourer Tasks

Musical Gong Puzzle: Hit the gongs in the correct sequence to create the melody the temple demands!
Mirror Puzzle: Connect beams of light using mirrors but be careful not to dazzle yourself (and others)!
Train transport: Mine sparkling geodes, and load them up into an underground train, then drive it!

Per Match Perks
In every match of Monster Lockdown, contributing to and completing tasks rewards the team with a selection of powerful Perks to choose from.
Example Perks:
- Double Jump: Gain an extra jump in mid-air to escape danger, traverse difficult terrain or just be a bouncy li’l guy!
- Shrinking: Temporarily reduce your size, becoming harder to see, harder to hit, and adorable.
- Going Incognito: Hide inside a decoy box and hope nobody is wise enough to notice!

Impostors will gain access to a selection of unique perks too (as well as all perks Innocents can choose from) - just don’t let an Innocent see you using them!
- Morphing: Temporarily change your appearance to look exactly like another player for a short time, sowing confusion and misdirection.
- Teleporting: Instantly warp a short distance, allowing for quick escapes after doing something villainous.
Haunting friends and foes
Whether you were murdered, eaten, voted out or took a “tragic” fall, it’s not game over for you!
Resume your mission as a ghost! Innocent Ghosts can offer temporary protection to Innocents. Impostor ghosts will show more interest in poltergeist-style activities such as locking doors and dropping smoke bombs!

Monster Mayhem
“MONSTER MAYHEM” is triggered when Impostors have done enough murdering or deceiving people into voting Innocents out. A monster is unleashed and will devour anyone foolish enough to get caught!
Outlive your foes to secure a victory!
